How it works
The GL 90 comes standard with a stylish porcelain pedestal, that connects to a composting container located below floor level.
No flushing is required. When a container fills up, put it aside and leave it to compost. Then, replace it with the spare fresh one.
Waste turns into nutrient-rich compost that can be reused in gardens or safely disposed of.
Green Loo’s smart single wall design adds usable space to the waste container, offering superior volume/capacity than comparable systems.
The vent system promotes optimal airflow, bringing in oxygen needed for aerobic composting. It keeps the toilet free of odours and reduces moisture.
A false floor ensures that excess liquids drain out into a small gravel pit and allows moisture to be drawn back into the pile, if need be.
Composting toilets don’t need mixing. The simple addition of some bulking agent, microbes and enzymes is all you need.
Green Loo offers the built-in compost maximiser tool, that spreads any coning at the top of the compost pile, maximises the space and aids the breakdown process.

The GL 90 Deluxe kit is the way to go for the latter. It has all the same specifications as the GL-90 Essentials kit, with two additional features: the Compost Maximiser (that can also be purchased separately) and a trolley + strap combo (making the job of exchanging bins a breeze).

The CM is a simple, break down proof mechanism that eliminates the ‘coning’ effect when your container is nearing full & maximises the space inside your bin, aiding the break down process. And all this without getting your hands dirty!
More important: there is no need to mix the compost pile to achieve good compost.
Do I need a Trolley when exchanging bins? If yes, how to save money getting one…
To maximise the capacity on entry level models – GL 55 and GL 90 – we have opted to go without wheels, getting the most out the bins volume.
While exchanging bins manually is perfectly doable, you can make this job a breeze by using a standard trolley and strap – available from your hardware store for around $60.00.
