Almost 7 years ago, Green Loo was started by our founder Roland Schroeder.
Our mission has always been to supply sustainable, affordable and high-quality waterless toilet options for all types of situations.
Our very first composting toilet models were supplied by Pikkuvihreä – a composting toilet company in Finland, with 30 years of experience in the industry.
With time, our company created a great friendship with our partners from Finland.

During this time…
Throughout the years of Green Loo Composting Toilets growing, we have proudly become the largest Australian Manufacturer of Composting Toilets and the industry-leading company when it comes to innovation, expertise and affordability.
Green Loo’s worldwide presence via direct sales to 9 different countries has become even stronger after we branched out and opened our Green Loo Shop in New Zealand, in 2019!
The friendship between Green Loo and Pikkuvihreä has strengthened across the years, with mutual support, learning from each other’s skills, knowledge, experience, and working on joint projects together.
Now!
As the Finnish-Australian partnership flourished, discussions began about the U.S. market, where commercial waterless toilets were notably scarce. The partners resolved to address this gap, seeing a significant opportunity for expansion.
After months of planning and hard work, we are finally ready to introduce our newest venture – the Waterless Toilet Shop!
This means that there will be a mixture of Green Loo and Pikkuvihreä products available to purchase in the United States, to meet the much-needed demand for them.
We have put a lot of passion into this, and hope we can inspire more and more people to go Green!
